February 10, 2018 ~ Saturday, 10:30 am – 3 pm “Tory Jack Day" Legend has it that Jack, a slave in the Abraham Staats household, supported the patriots by spying on the British during the American Revolution.  Celebrate Black History month with a program featuring noted speaker Joe Becton , who will speak on the topic “Music of the Underground Railroad” at 11:00 am.   Following Mr. Becton’s presentation, the public is invited to tour the historic Abraham Staats House and view an exhibit on “The Underground Railroad”, presented by local historian and Women’s Guild member, Mrs. Joyce Smith.   The exhibit and tours will end at 3 p.m. Admission is free; donations are appreciated. February 18, 2018 ~ "Middlebrook (Five Generals) Bus Tour " Hosted by Heritage Trail Association Five historic houses that served as headquarters for American generals during the 1778-1779 Middlebrook encampment are all on this tour. The Van Horne House in Bridgewater; the Wallace House in Somerville; the Van Veghten House in Finderne; the Abraham Staats House in South Bound Brook; the Jacobus Vanderveer House  in Bedminster.   For more information and for reservations  contact: Heritage Trail Association, P. April 14 & 15, 2018 ~ Saturday/Sunday:   Be a part of the American Revolution and mark your calendar for this year’s Battle of Bound Brook: "Living History Weekend at the Abraham Staats House" Admission charged for entry to house tour/lecture. The grounds and street battles are free. Make sure you tell your friends to hold the date, Huzzah!  Hope to see you there! Sep 8, 2018 ~ Saturday Time: 10:00 am to Noon ~ "Songs of the Revolution" Music by Thomas Harabin Free to all

October 13 & 14, 2018 ~ Saturday: 10:00 am to 5:00 pm & Sunday: Noon to 4:00 pm "Somerset County's Weekend Journey through the Past" .  Guided House tours by 18th Century costumed docents; Colonial period music.   29 historic sites in Somerset County, including the Abraham Staats House, will be open for visitors during the weekend event, for information go to http://www.co.somerset.nj.us/government/public-works/cultural-heritage/weekend-journey. December 1, 2018 ~ Saturday: 6:30 pm, 7:00 pm, 7:30pm:  "Candlelight Tour of the Abraham Staats House" Tours will be conducted with authentically dressed interpreters in period clothing and end with light refreshments and live music. Reservations recommended. The program lasts approximately 30 minutes. Admission will be $10 with advance reservation. ($15 for walk-ins) Click on the event title for 2017 information.

December 1, & 2, 2018 ~ Saturday/Sunday:  1:00 pm to 4:00 pm "Holiday at the Abraham Staats House" – Each room of the Abraham Staats House is uniquely and festively decorated for the holidays by community organizations and members of the Friends of Abraham Staats House. December 2, 2018 ~ Sunday: 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm  South Bound Brook Recreation Annual Holiday Tree Lighting at the Abraham Staats House    Visit with Santa and friends    Enjoy Donuts and Hot Cocoa    Bring an ornament to decorate the tree Click on the event title for 2017 information.

December 7, 2018 ~ Friday: 6:00 pm ~ FASH Annual Meeting followed by a Covered Dish Dinner at the Abraham Staats House.  Business meeting first (voting on Officers and Trustees for 2019), followed by socializing, refreshments and a general nice time! (Members and Guests)
