The Somerset County Cultural and Heritage Commission has awarded two grants that will benefit the Abraham Staats Hosue, from the New Jersey Historical Commission under the State/County History Partnership Program (SCHPP) for the calendar year 2017.

One was awarded to the Friends of Abraham Staats House, Inc. (FASH) to hire two historic preservation consultants to help with: 1) development and implemetation of a Collections Management Policy, and 2) development of an updated brochure.and marketing materials.

The second grant was awarded to the South Bound Brook Historic Preservation Advisory Commission. The borough, which owns the Abraham Staats House property, applied for a grant to hire an historic preservation expert to assist in developing a Furnishing Plan for two of the earliest rooms of the house.
