Dear Friends of Abraham Staats House,
In light of the rapidly changing situation in our area around novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and to protect the health of our visitors, volunteers, and staff, the Abraham Staats House will be closed to the public, beginning March 14th at 10AM, until further notice.
Upcoming tours, events, meetings and education programs at the house and grounds are being cancelled or postponed, while those scheduled farther out will be evaluated accordingly as we know more.
At this time, these are the near term programs that will be affected:
- March 21: Somerset County “Queen Nur” program March 21-CANCELLED
- March 28: “Evening with the Baron” program POSTPONED (New date TBD)
- April 18-19: Battle of Bound Brook-CANCELLED at the Abraham Staats House & Grounds (It was not certain that other partners had decided to cancel their Battle of Bound Brook events at this time; but the street battles, soldiers’ encampment, house tours, Sunday lecture and any other activities related to the Abraham Staats House and grounds are CANCELLED.)
