Spend an enlightening evening with General Baron von Steuben during his visit to the Abraham Staats House. Socialize with the General about his role and experiences during the American Revolution, before and after his formal lecture on the topic.  Enjoy:

George Washington’s Army at Middlebrook ~ 1777 & 1778-79

The lecture series will help inform and educate the public about what happened in Somerset County during the American Revolution by exploring the Middlebrook stays of George Washington’s Army in 1777, and again in 1778-79.  The speakers will present a number of related topics exploring this theme.

Battle of Bound Brook: Living History Weekend @ The Abraham Staats House

The two-day event features 18th-century street battles, military drills and camp life, portrayed by living history reenactors as American and British troops, camp followers, sutlers (merchants selling goods) and others of that period.

Whether you are looking for a family-fun experience, a history buff, a visitor to the area or searching for a new, interesting event to attend, each year’s living history weekend at the Battle of Bound Brook is unique, fun and exciting. Learn about and experience this important period in New Jersey and American history.
